Bob Chilcott has created a work about sport and participation. Each of the seven movements describes a different sporting discipline, including sprinting trumpets, a soccer rap and an ice skating trombone. A Sporting Chance was written to be fun for the performers and additional ideas are always encouraged; dancing, hand-jiving, audience participation, could all find a place in a performance.
